My resolutions for 2016 - NYE in Madrid #Day1

4.1.16
Welcome 2016!!

It´s the first Monday of the year and I'm back! Planning all the resolutions I want to accomplish during the coming months - have you already thought of yours?
Well, in my case I´m a supporter of the NYE resolutions. After all, how can we be successful if we´re never working towards a bigger goal? When you look at resolutions with optimism and encouragement, then you have space for improvement.
- A few of my own resolutions this year are as follows:

#Do more of what makes me happy
Finding out what makes my heart sing. Focusing on activities that bring me joy (my "Silver Lining by Marta" blog, of course, is one of them!!), the happier I´ll be and that translates to all other aspects of my life.
#Be strong-willed
Trust and push myself, being persistent. Deal with my insecurities, trying to have positive thoughts and keep working to get there!
#Do new things
Travel more, visiting new places I never been, try a new restaurant, read a new book, or even just do something that scares me (there's something invigorating about overcoming a fear).
#Show gratitude
To apologize - I think it´s not only a good way to show gratitude and appreciation, but also for motivating people.
#Accept criticism
When someone says something about me that´s not in the best light, listen and see how I can use it to improve and develop.
#Reviews
Every quarter, review the balances of both the successes and failures along the way. But, can´t just stop. Remember "The only person preventing you from reaching your goals, your dreams is yourself".

Now, just a few words about my NYE trip to Madrid and my outfit of day one. On a cool Monday morning just during the NYE week, we headed to 'Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía', the Spanish national museum of 20th century art, inaugurated on September 10, 1992. It is located at the southern end of the so-called Golden Triangle of Art from Madrid (along with 'Museo del Prado' and 'Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza').

The museum is beautiful, it has international artists, but is mainly dedicated to Spanish art. Includes excellent collections of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. The most famous masterpiece in the museum is Picasso´s painting Guernica.

Our kids loved it, the trip was to rest and to have a wonderful family time, but with a pinch of culture!!

About my outfit, one of my statement pieces for this winter is this black coat, very very warm and light!! I also love the maxi wool jacket, that I dressed down with a black and white shirt, black personalized jeans and sneakers! By the way, we´ve walked a lot during this week!

I hope you like it and thank you very much for your comments!

xx
