Happy Monday!! Hope you had an amazing weekend ;)
Today, I decided to share with you some pictures we took in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago. The city is very beautiful, I loved it.
The photos were taken in Dam Square, the best-known Amsterdam's square, a handy central location were we can see the Royal Palace, often the focus of events of national importance. The Dam is the city's beating heart.
#Royal Palace - The building started out in 1655 as Amsterdam's City Hall, but was re-purposed as a palace in 1808 by the brother of Napoleon. A definite must-see!
#Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) - This 15th century gothic building is the site of Royal coronations and weddings, as well as art exhibitions.
#National Monument - Erected in 1956 to memorialize the victims of World War II.
#Madame Tussauds - In my opinion, it´s one of those things not to do in Amsterdam, because it´s expensive and often quite crowded.
There are other things you can do at Dam's Square, like shopping (at H&M or Bijenkorf, a 20.000 m2 shopper's paradise. Anything from groceries to diamonds, from books and newspapers to high fashion), ride a horse-drawn carriage or just people-watch (Amsterdam itself is home to people from over 170 nationalities, and the city attracts visitors from literally around the world).
There are lots of cafés, Pubs and Restaurants also, and the pictures were taken near the Majestic cafe early in the morning.
I was wearing a beige trench coat and a tweed coat from Mango SS16 collection, and I dressed it down with some old navy jeans and my ballerina flats. Hope you like it;)
Thank you very much for your comments and for stopping by;)
